At 9:30, our professional driver and guide will pick you up at your Cappadocia hotel. We will visit the Goreme Panorama Point and our guide will give you the general information about the history of the region.The Derinkuyu Underground City is our first stop. It is the most well-known underground city in Cappadocia. The underground complex was used by the locals for centuries to hide from Romans and Persians.We will continue southwards to the stunning Ihlara Valley after leaving Derinkuyu. For approximately 1 hour, we will walk along the Melendiz River through the Ihlara Gorge. We will stop for lunch at a restaurant near the river in the Village of Belisirma.
After lunch we will continue our journey to the Selime Monastery. This is the largest rock-cut monastery of Cappadocia, with a large cathedral in the cave and stunning views.We stop at the stunning vista point that overlooks Pigeon Valley on our return to Goreme.The final stop is at an onyx factory in the area to view a demonstration of carving and to shop onyx.
