Your guide will explain what the meanings are of the cave churches decorated with scenes from the Old and New Testaments. Since the beginning of Christianity, this site has been used for monastic purposes.
We will stop at a Goreme restaurant for lunch. We will stop at several photo stops on the way, including Urgup's fairy chimneys, Devrent's animal shaped rock formations and Monk's Valley. Your Private Cappadocia Tour's second day begins at 9:30. The Kaymakli Underground City is our first stop. We will continue south towards the beautiful Ihlara Valley after we leave Kaymakli. For approximately 1 hour, we walk along the Melendiz River as it winds through the Ihlara Gorge.
