You will start your day with a 10:00AM pickup from your Cappadocia hotel. Your first stop will be Tatlarin Underground City which is 22 km (13 miles) away from Nevsehir. This city is located in the Tatlarin District and shares many similarities with the Ozluce or Mazi Underground Cities. Although the underground city has expanded to vast areas, only a small portion has been cleaned up.
Underground cities date back to the Hitit period. They were primarily carved to defend themselves against attacks during an emergency period. All of them were used by the early christians during the period after the fall of the Roman Empire. We will then travel to Agzikarahan Carravanserai after visiting the underground city. Because you will be following the ancient Silk Road, it is a good idea to stop at Agzikarahan Caravanserai (an authentic travelers' inn built in the 13th Century by the Selcuk Empire).
We will then have our lunch at around 14:00 and then drive to Tuz Golu (Salt Lake), which is a salt lake that covers a large area of the central plateau of Turkey. After having as much time as you would like, we will drive you back to your hotel.
